What to do if you need help
If you are already in contact with our services and need help during working hours (0900 – 1700) please contact your care coordinator. If there are unavailable, ask to speak to a duty worker. Out of hours you can reach our Mental Health Helpline by calling 01438 843322.
If you are not already in contact with our services and you, a friend or relative are experiencing mental health problems for the first time and need emergency treatment, you can contact us as follows:
- For all emergencies (including Mental Health emergencies) dial 999 and ask for an Ambulance

Alternatively you can:
- Contact your GP - to search for a GP in your area or to find the contact details for your practice, please see the GP section on NHS Choices
- Go to your nearest Accident and Emergency department
- Contact NHS advice line - use the 111 service if you are feeling unwell and need a telephone health assessment, call the NHS 111 service free of charge from any phone
- Contact The Samaritans on 08457 909090
For advice on mental health issues contact Saneline on 0845 767 8000 between 6pm and 11pm (any day of the year)
If you have a mild to moderate mental health problem you can self-refer or ask your GP to refer you to the Wellbeing Service/Improved Access to Psychological Services.
